Why can’t I upload my file to the Assignments tool?

• Ensure the due date and time have not already passed.
• Check to make sure that there are no special characters (!@#$%^&*) in the filename
• Ensure the computer is setup correctly for Blackboard by clicking the Check Browser link on the login page; If you need to install Java go to http://www.java.com/en/ (To open link in a new window, right click the link and select "Open in a New Window")
• Close any files you plan to attach to the assignment BEFORE you click the Submit button

How well did I do on an assignment?

Once the assignment has been graded, click on the Graded tab in Assignments to see your grade and to read the instructor's comments about your submitted work.

I just submitted my assignment. How long will it take until it is graded?

Assignments for your course are graded by the course's grading staff (Professor or TA's). Generally, assignments are not graded until after their availability time period is over.

Why can’t I see my assignment grade in the My Grades tool?

If you can't see a grade in your My Grades area, it is possible that your instructor has not yet released the grades. Contact your instructor if you still have questions.

How can I add a video to an assignment?

1. Go to http://learn.nmsu.edu and log in using your NMSU Username and Password.
2. Click on the course name.
3. Click on the Assignments Tool.
4. On the Inbox tab, click on the name of the assignment.
5. Click the Add Attachments button.
6. Click the My Computer icon.
7. Locate the video file on your computer and click Open.
   The file will appear just above the Add Attachments button.
8. Click the Submit button
